Our business is a reflection of our years of competitive sports performance, passion for detailed coaching, and love of sporting events that have rooted a desire for constant improvement among our athletes, yet a focused eye on safe exercise mechanics.

The approach we take involves sound strength and conditioning principles, fun and challenging workouts, and a motivated community of athletes that are dedicated to elevating each other to explore new levels of fitness success.

Our team of coaches has a culture of discipline and passion for achievement. Success for us means that we make a difference in our members’ lives, provide a high-quality service that delivers results, and create an environment where our members look forward to visiting us each week, meeting new friends, and learn how to make fitness a lifelong endeavor.

Since our start, we’ve been privileged to work with many of Greenville’s most driven and focused people pursuing elevated fitness. No matter if you’re a firebreather or an office cubical dweller, all our members embody the “Warrior Athlete State Of Mind”- Athletes practice, train, set goals, sacrifice, stay focused…You can do those things as well.

BILLY FLETCHER

Billy fell in love with working out and playing sports at a young age. Sports were a great outlet as well as a form of expression for someone who was very introverted. Being smaller, he was encouraged by very supportive coaches to start lifting weights to get bigger and stronger. The changes he saw and felt started a lifetime love and passion for training. This passion for training himself grew to a passion for training others. He saw that he could help others achieve the same benefits he had attained and have a positive impact just as his coaches had influenced him.

While a student at Clemson University he jumped at the opportunity to be one of the personal trainers at one of the first one-on-one training facilities in Greenville. He has spent his entire adult life working in the health and fitness field as a trainer and coach. Most of that time has been spent in personal training but over the last several years has begun using group training to attain even greater results overall and as a way to positively influence more people. The common mission over all of these years Is to continue to search for better, safer, and more efficient methods of improving the qualities of people’s lives physically, mentally, and spiritually. That quest continues as the methods at Alliance continue to evolve.

LARA FARNSWORTH

Lara-FarnsworthLara has been involved in the fitness industry since 1989 both as a student and teacher. After many years as a fitness instructor and working out with a personal trainer, she discovered group training in 2007 and was instantly hooked, quickly realizing that training in a group environment was much more effective and motivating. In 2014, Lara attended Martin Rooney’s Level 1 Training for Warriors (TFW) 2-day Certification. She strongly believes the Training For Warriors methods and team workouts don’t just help with improving our physical fitness and body image, but the motivation and challenges also strengthen and empower our mental and emotional well-being. Lara has seen how the TFW community encourages both the individual and the team, allowing us to extend ourselves way beyond our goals! 

Also in 2014, Lara attended Parisi Speed School’s “training week” and became certified as a Parisi Sports Performance Coach. In 2015, Lara became Program Director for Parisi Speed School Greenville. The Parisi mission is to deliver a positive training experience that improves not just speed, agility, and sports performance, but also a strength of character. At Alliance Champions Training Center, we are dedicated to this mission and will evaluate, educate, and improve the physical and mental abilities of those who train with us.

Lara’s background as a Social Worker and fitness instructor helps her to understand and connect with her clients. Her passion for helping people achieve fitness for life makes her very approachable and she loves to work with people of all ages and fitness levels.

LYNN LEVY

Lynn-LevyLynn is a licensed medical professional with 35 years of experience with a nursing background. She has had the opportunity to train under Billy Fletcher for more than 20 years and gain personal knowledge in the personal training field through this experience.

Lynn’s background allows her to concentrate on clients who need a modification in the prescribed workouts due to medical issues and/or clients who need one-on-one supervision to prepare themselves for joining the Training for Warriors group classes. Lynn holds two world records in powerlifting in the master’s division and enjoys being able to incorporate this experience in the training of her clients.

RUTHIE LUTZ

RuthieRuthie has been in the health care field for over 34 years working as an RN in Coronary Care, Post-open Heart and Cardiac Rehabilitation. She has also been involved with teaching Physical Education to children in elementary and middle school for over 15 years. Involved in almost every facet of exercise over the years and with much encouragement, Ruthie decided to become certified as a Level I Crossfit Instructor. But because of her concern with the increase of childhood obesity, she became certified as a Kid/Teen CrossFit Instructor. Ruthie feels that if you make exercise fun for kids and teens, it will become a lifelong habit!

Ruthie is still involved with nursing and also teaches CPR/First Aid in schools, the community, and to other health care professionals. Her family, all in the healthcare field, enjoys and participates in some form of physical activity routinely.

RAFAEL ROSENDO

Rafael began his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training in 1997 and attained his black belt from Edmilson Alves in 2002. Head instructor at Alliance Greenville in South Carolina, Rafael is a very technical teacher as well as a fierce successful competitor; he can both teach and do.

As a competitor, Rafael has medaled in countless competitions. His most recent successes include 2008 and 2009 Lutador Open Class winner, 2008 NAGA Gi and No Gi Winner in Georgia, 2009 Copa America Open Class Gi and No Gi Winner, and 2009 International Open in New York 3rd Place Middleweight and Open Class first place.

Rafael continues his personal improvement as part of the Alliance Team with instruction from Romero “Jacare” Cavalcanti and as a part of Alliance Crossfit. He represents and lives all of the best qualities of a true Brazilian Jiu Jitsu warrior.

CYNTHIA HARDWICK

Cynthia-HardwickCynthia has been active all of her life.  Growing up working on the family farm instilled in her the desire to work hard and be the best you can each day.  She was always active in sports but really became more involved in running and biking at the age of 30.  Completed many Century Bike Rides (including the Mountain Mitchell Assault), raced with the Greenville Spinners team and raced in many 10k foot races and Marathons.  In 2012 she was introduced to Billy Fletcher with Alliance Champions and immediately became hooked on Billy’s style of training.  Cynthia holds the world record in the bench press and dead lift in her weight/age division.  She has completed two Sealfit events, 20x in Greenville, SC, in 2014 and Kokoro Camp in Encinitas, CA, in October 2015.

After retiring, she started coaching under Billy’s guidance.  Completed the Training for Warriors Level 1 training in March 2014, and knew immediately this was the training program that works.  Cynthia’s love for being healthy and her abundance of energy is contagious.  She strongly believes in Alliance Champions’ core values — “to strive each day to help everyone become a whole person physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and have the warrior spirit.

BRAELEN MEREDITH

Braelen-MeredithBraelen was born and raised in Woodruff, SC where he graduated from Woodruff High School in 2010. While in high school, Braelen was a member of the football, baseball and wrestling teams. After graduation, he attended North Greenville University on a football scholarship. He was a 3-year starter at outside linebacker. Braelen was an NCCAA (National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association) All American and second team preseason All American for NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Division 2. He also participated in the 2013 National Bowl and 2014 South Carolina Collegiate All Star Game. Braelen graduated in 2014 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Sports Management. After graduation, he accepted a position as a Graduate Assistant Strength Coach and went on to receive his Master’s of Business Administration in 2015.

KEVIN TURNER

Kevin-TurnerKevin has been an avid sports and exercise enthusiast since the age of 5. His sport of choice was soccer where he excelled and was chosen for several traveling soccer teams. In high school, Kevin was only 1 of 2 freshmen picked to play on the Varsity Soccer Team at Mauldin High School. Upon graduating, he received a soccer scholarship to Spartanburg Methodist College and earned an Associate’s Degree in Business. He continued his studies at College of Charleston while playing for the college’s soccer team. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Kevin moved back to Greenville where he worked as a One-on-One personal trainer for Billy Fletcher at Fitness Quest. Kevin has been a volunteer coach for Carolina Elite Soccer Academy for 10 years and is currently coaching his daughter’s soccer team. His love for working with and motivating young athletes grows stronger every day as he knows what it takes to make it to the next level!
